Metamorphosis

Exhibition about changes in the soul and body

CURATOR

Thirty-one contemporary artists are participating in the project. Each work is a reflection on the forms that our body, consciousness, soul can take under the influence of multidirectional forces, the basic ones of which are love and violence.

In the spring of 2022, I asked myself a naive question - what is happening to people? Why do they change so much and so quickly? Or, perhaps, to paraphrase a well-known cliché, "metamorphoses in the eye of the beholder"? For me, the preparation and the exhibition itself is a journey into a world where there are many more questions for a person than answers.

The exhibition combined many different facets of the word "metamorphoses": social, children's, domestic, dreaming, Russian. This exhibition is about how a person is torn between extremes: pain and serenity, love and resentment, inaction and disaster.
