RECENT

A research-based documentary project about how ruins shape collective memory and influence the cultural identity of new generations.
Through interviews with former employees, archival documents, photographs, and footage, the project reveals how colossal industries that thrived during the Soviet era turned into ruins — and what this still means to the people who once worked there.
With the collapse of these enterprises, workers, engineers, and veterans who had built their lives around the factories lost not only their jobs but also their sense of purpose and connection to a shared future.
The core idea of the project is to show that the ruins of the industrial era continue to function as sites of memory. They have become symbols of loss, but they can also serve as points for rethinking history.
