Training and internship program for cultural volunteers and a system of volunteer support for cultural organizations

The mission of the School of Volunteering in the Sphere of Culture is changing attitudes towards cultural volunteering and professionalization of volunteering.

During the year, we conducted two enrollments to the “School of Volunteerism”, fifty people each. Participants went through a training program, internships and created their own projects.

As a result, the participants get an “entry point” to the profession, the necessary experience and skills, and the most active ones get the experience of implementing their own cultural project within the framework of the School of Volunteering Project Laboratory.

The authors of the project are Daria Dmitrieva, Valeria Zemskova.

Since 2019, the School has received more than 500 applications for participation, trained and trained 160 experienced volunteers, and formed a community of like-minded people that has supported and continues to support more than 30 cultural organizations and independent initiatives.

During this time, in the "Laboratory of Projects" volunteers came up with and implemented under the supervision of the Foundation 11 of their own cultural projects. Project formats are very different: contemporary art exhibitions, podcasts, festivals, web zines, performances and others.

In total, 226 people took part in cultural projects created by the School volunteers as authors, artists, animators, and organizers.
